Capital Works Program Manager

The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Capital Works Program Manager who enjoys turning strategy into practical outcomes. You will bring people, projects and information together to help shape a well-planned, accountable and achievable capital works program.

In this influential role, you will coordinate capital planning and programming across the Built and Natural Environment Directorate, align projects with adopted strategies and budgets, and provide clear reporting and assurance to support informed decisions. You will also champion better use of the Project Lifecycle Management system and the City's Project Management Framework.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A degree in project management, engineering, accounting, business administration or a relevant discipline.
• Five years or more experience in relevant capital work planning/programming or project management, preferably within Local Government.
• Sound knowledge of project management principles and processes, from business case through project close out and handover.
• Knowledge of annual budgeting and long-term financial planning processes.
• The ability to build productive relationships, communicate clearly and influence outcomes across multidisciplinary teams.
• Leadership, negotiation, organisation and time management skills.
