The Role

We are seeking Expressions of Interest for Domestic Assistants to join our Community, Health and Care team supporting clients over the age of 65 across the Gippsland Region.

Our Assistants:

• provide one-on-one support to help older Victorians live comfortably and independently in their own homes
• help clients stay connected and engaged socially and with the things they enjoy
• help clients feel supported by assisting with daily activities such as general cleaning and meal preparation

This is a great opportunity for people wanting to start working as a Care Worker without a qualification. 

We offer permanent part time contracts for a minimum of 10 hours per fortnight. We then offer shifts based on client needs and your location / availability. 

We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest only at this stage, and will review applications once we have a vacancy suitable to your location. 

About you

• A genuine passion for caring and ability to build rapport with clients
• Respect for all, regardless of background, gender, age, religion, race, or sexual orientation
• Your own vehicle, current drivers' licence, and comprehensive car insurance, to drive between clients' homes and drive clients as required
• Willingness to travel between clients, sometimes up to 3 clients per day, and up to 30 minutes between clients
• A reasonable amount of availability, at least 3 days per week
