BlueFit is proud to be commencing an exciting new partnership with the City of Wanneroo to manage the new Alkimos Aquatic and Recreation Centre (AARC), one of the largest capital works projects ever delivered by the City.

Together, we're embarking on a new chapter to bring this landmark community facility to life as a welcoming, inclusive and vibrant destination where people of all ages and abilities can be active, healthy and connected.

At the heart of this partnership is a shared commitment to creating a thriving community hub that enhances health, connection and liveability across Alkimos and the surrounding northern corridor. Through aquatics, learn-to-swim, health and fitness, indoor sports and community recreation, the Centre will create opportunities for everyone to participate, belong and thrive.

As part of our foundation team, you'll have the unique opportunity to help establish the Centre's culture, programs and customer experience from day one, guided by BlueFit's proven operating systems and commitment to excellence.

What the Role is Really About

As our Health Club Manager, you are the leader of our fitness community. Working hand-in-hand with the leadership team, you’ll oversee gym floor operations, group fitness timetables, membership sales pipelines, and personal training services to help our members achieve their health and wellness goals.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

• Pre-Opening Launch: Drive pre-sale fitness membership campaigns, assist with gym floor/equipment layout, and recruit top-tier personal trainers and group fitness instructors ahead of our November grand opening.

• Fitness Leadership: Lead from the front by being present on the gym floor, coaching fitness staff, and fostering a welcoming, non-intimidating environment for gym-goers of all fitness levels.

• Group Fitness & PT Operations: Build and manage a dynamic group fitness timetable, oversee PT floor coverage, and ensure high trainer engagement and retention.

• Commercial & Growth Mindset: Manage membership retention, drive sales leads, track key fitness KPIs, and run internal fitness challenges to keep member energy high.

• Safety & Equipment Care: Ensure all fitness equipment, functional spaces, and studio areas are maintained to the highest safety, cleanliness, and operational standards.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

• Hands-On Leadership: You’re an active, visible leader who spends time on the gym floor inspiring staff and members rather than staying behind a desk.

• Fitness Industry Expertise: Proven background in health club management, fitness sales, personal training coordination, or studio operations.

• Community Focus: Genuine passion for helping everyday people build healthy habits in a safe, supportive, and motivating space.

• Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of membership pipelines, fitness retention strategies, and roster management.

• Essential Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Fitness (or equivalent sports science degree)

  • Senior First Aid & CPR Certifications

  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)

  • Working registration with Fitness Australia / AUSactive (highly regarded)
