Jnr Sous / Sous Chef — Ophelia Westgarth

Yolk Group's newest venue, Ophelia Westgarth, is looking for a Jnr Sous / Sous Chef to help lead our night services. You'll work alongside an experienced, tight-knit team that's serious about quality and seasonality, with real opportunity to grow as the venue grows.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who's passionate about food, ready to take ownership of a section and a service, and thrives in a fast-paced, professional kitchen.

About the Role:

You'll help run and coordinate night service, stepping up in the Head Chef's absence. You'll prepare and deliver high-quality dishes to our standards, work across sections as needed and keep recipes, systems, and service procedures consistent across the pass. Stock rotation, minimising waste, and keeping the kitchen clean and organised are part of the job, as is supporting and mentoring more junior chefs and helping build a positive, team-focused culture.

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 2/3 years' experience in a similar or senior CDP role, ideally with night service leadership experience

• Strong organisation and consistency across sections, with the confidence to run a service

• A clear communicator and team player who leads by example

• Energy, reliability, and a genuine passion for food

• Availability 4–5 days per week (up to 38 hours), including weekends and evenings as required

• Have previous kitchen management experience
