Wirraka Maya Health Service Aboriginal Corporation (WMHSAC) has been delivering culturally appropriate, holistic primary health care in South Hedland and surrounding Pilbara communities for more than 30 years. Our multidisciplinary services are focused on improving health and wellbeing through accessible, culturally safe and community-centred care.

About the Role

We are looking for someone who already understands National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Support Coordination and can confidently manage a client caseload while building strong relationships with clients, families, providers and other professionals. The ideal candidate will have preferably 1 or more years of professional experience as a Support Coordinator.

This is primarily a full-time position, however experienced candidates seeking part-time employment may be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Previous NDIS Support Coordination experience and a good understanding of NDIS plans, budgets and supports.
• Experience managing a caseload and working with clients, providers and other stakeholders.
• Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills, with good record keeping.
• Conduct regular meetings with clients and their families to discuss progress and address concerns.
• Stay informed about changes in NDIS policies and procedures to provide accurate information.
• Ability to work respectfully in a cross-cultural environment, with demonstrated experience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and communities.

Licence, Checks and Qualifications Required

• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working with Children Check
• National Police Clearance
• Valid WA Driver’s Licence
• Australian Right to Work
• Relevant qualifications in disability, community services, social work, allied health or a related field
