About the role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tree Maintenace professional to join our team at Tree Planting and Watering. This full-time role is based in O'Connor WA 6163 and will play a vital part in our mission to maintain and enhance the local greenery and urban forest.
What you'll be doing
Formative pruning of 1-3 year old trees according to best horticultural practice.
Pesticide (glyphosate) spraying.
Re-staking and re-tying of trees.
Hand weeding from the tree well.
Rubbish and debris removal from tree well.
Driving a maintenance utility vehicle legally, at a safe speed whilst aware of pedestrians, cyclists, other vehicles and traffic conditions.

Qualifications & experience
Horticultural experience/qualifications.
Minimum 1+ years of horticultural experience required.
Entry level horticultural experience is acceptable for this position.
WA Pest technician licence.
WA Pest Technician licence must be held before commencing employment.
Basic Worksite Traffic Management (not essential).
White card
White Card certification must be obtained before starting in this role.
MR driving licence. (optional)
Standard car licence is the minimum driving licence required.
Ability to work autonomously.
Valid work visa is acceptable for this position.
What we're looking for
Proven experience in tree maintenance and able to carry out tree planting and watering when required
Strong knowledge of tree species, care requirements and growth patterns
Ability to operate relevant equipment and machinery safely
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to safety and environmental best practices
Relevant qualifications or certifications in horticulture or arboriculture
