Meat Food Service Salesperson - Sydney Market

Homebush, Sydney NSW | Casual position - Monday to Friday | 6-month qualifying period

with option of full-time employment

We are seeking an experienced Meat Food Service Salesperson to join our Sydney sales team, servicing the

Sydney food service market.

Based from our Homebush office and reporting to the State Sales Manager, this role will suit a motivated

salesperson with a proven background in meat sales and a strong understanding of carton meat products.

This position involves actively canvassing, building and maintaining customers across the food service sector,

including pubs, clubs, restaurants, cafes, hotels, caterers and other food service businesses.

About the role

The successful applicant will be responsible for promoting and selling a range of carton meat products, including

pork, lamb, beef, chicken and smallgoods, through telephone sales, email communication and regular site visits.

Your duties will include:

- Actively canvassing and developing new customers across the Sydney market

- Maintaining and growing existing food service accounts

- Selling carton meat products including pork, lamb, beef, chicken and smallgoods

- Conducting regular customer site visits

- Following up quotes, orders and customer enquiries

- Building strong relationships with chefs, owners, managers and buyers

- Identifying new sales opportunities and market trends

- Reporting sales activity and customer feedback to the State Sales Manager

- Representing the business professionally at all times

About you

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

- A proven track record in meat product sales

- Strong knowledge of meat cuts, carton meat products and food service requirements

- Experience selling to pubs, clubs, restaurants, hotels, caterers or similar food service customers

- Confidence in telephone sales, email follow-up and face-to-face customer visits

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills

- The ability to work independently and manage a sales territory

- A professional, reliable and results-driven approach

Applicants with no meat industry knowledge or meat sales experience should not apply.
