About the role
About IHM
Our purpose is Caring with Passion. Our values are Innovation, Caring and Excellence, underpinned by Integrity - honesty, openness and trust. We exist to prepare nurses who practise person-centred, compassionate care and who become trusted members of the communities they serve, including across regional Australia where that care is needed most.
The Bachelor of Nursing is IHM's flagship course, approved by TEQSA in March 2025. It is central to IHM's ambition to become Australia's first university college specialising in nursing by 2030 - an ambition we are pursuing through the applicable regulatory pathways.
About the role
As Course Coordinator you provide the academic leadership of the Bachelor of Nursing, working under the Head of School (Nursing), who is IHM's head of nursing discipline for the purposes of the ANMAC Registered Nurse Accreditation Standards 2019.
You will lead course design, delivery, monitoring and review; lead assessment moderation and the Board of Examiners cycle; drive and maintain ANMAC accreditation; and ensure that professional experience placement is safe, high in quality and fully compliant. You will work closely with the lecturer team, the National Placement Coordinator, the Clinical Simulation Officer, the Registrar and the Quality Assurance team, and you will be a visible mentor to academic staff and a champion of cultural safety.
Above all, you will model Caring with Passion - for the students in your course, for the staff you lead, and for the patients and communities our graduates will go on to serve.
