We are a locally owned and run pool shop with a large base of loyal, regular customers. We pride ourselves on providing friendly, knowledgeable service and practical advice that helps our customers keep their pools clean, safe and enjoyable.

About the role

We’re looking for a friendly, trustworthy and highly organised Retail Sales Assistant to join our small team.

This is an ongoing part-time position. For the right person, there is potential for the hours and responsibilities to increase and for the role to develop into a full-time position.

Your role will involve a variety of interesting tasks including:

• Responding to customer enquiries in person and by phone

• Processing sales, maintaining stock and completing general administration tasks

• Testing Pool Customer Pool Water Samples

• General admin tasks associated with small business

The successful applicant will have:

• Excellent customer-service and communication skills

• A friendly, patient and professional manner

• Strong organisation and attention to detail

• Reliability, trustworthiness and a strong work ethic

• Confidence using computers and point-of-sale systems

Previous experience in pool water testing, retail or sales would be an advantage. We also welcome applications from people with strong customer-service skills who are highly organised, can manage multiple priorities in a busy environment, and demonstrate both the ability and enthusiasm to learn.

An attractive hourly rate will be offered based on the successful applicant’s skills and experience.

We are open to discussing working hours with the right person. Although this is primarily a part-time opportunity, full-time hours may be considered for an applicant with suitable experience.
