Goldfields Rehabilitation Services Inc. offer the only residential alcohol and other drugs detoxification and rehabilitation service for Goldfields' residents and offers a comprehensive programme and case management service to enable our clients to get their lives back on track, including outreach and transitional housing for graduates of the programme.  

We are currently seeking a suitably qualified Aboriginal Liaison Officer to work across alcohol and other drugs and mental health services.

The successful applicant will be required to meet the following essential criteria:

• The occupant must be of Aboriginal descent.

• Relevant certificate, qualifications and experience in alcohol and drug sector and mental health sector.

• Demonstrated good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Demonstrated skills in Community development, engagement, consultation, and evaluation.

• Knowledge of relevant areas of Drug and Alcohol service provision.

• Ability to deal with unpredictable situations and behaviour.

• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Applicants who are able to also meet the following desirable criteria will be looked upon favourably;

• Knowledge of community-based support / outreach practices.

• Understanding of the Aboriginal people and culture of the Goldfields region.

Appointment prerequisites for successful applicants will include the following;

• 100 point identification check

• Successful criminal record screening clearance

• Successful working with children check

• Current C class drivers license
