About the role
Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action
The Senior Manager, Sector Workforce Transition will be responsible for leading advice and project development on sector skills planning, talent attraction, capacity and capability, diversity and the application of Victoria's industrial relations policy in the Water Portfolio.
The Senior Manager will advise on sector implications relating to industrial relations matters, including implications on sector capability and capacity and any attendant impact on entity finances and customer prices. The role will also identify opportunities to attract talent to the sector and build capability and capacity (including in new innovative technologies) through training in TAFEs and universities and development through on the job training and sector-wide secondments. The role will provide strategic advice to senior executive management in the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action, to the Office of the Minister for Water and Victorian government agencies. The aim is to support Victorian water sector deliver sustainable value for customers, community and the environment and ensure long-term sustainability, capability and innovation.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
This is a fixed term position available for a period of 24 months. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
