A rare opportunity for a Musculoskeletal Podiatrist at Monash Health!
About the Role
Monash Health is proud to offer a unique podiatry position at Dandenong Hospital that has not been seen in the Victorian public hospital system for many years. We are seeking an exceptional Grade 3 Musculoskeletal Podiatrist (0.2 EFT) fixed term until 18 June 2027, to lead an innovative Department of Health-funded trial service designed to divert suitable patients from the Orthopaedic Surgical waitlist through advanced podiatric assessment and intervention.
Reporting to our Orthopaedic Podiatry Service Lead, this position will work alongside our foot and ankle orthopaedic surgeons, multidisciplinary podiatry team, and broader interdisciplinary workforce, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a contemporary model of care that improves patient access, outcomes, and experience.
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced clinician to combine advanced clinical expertise, service leadership, and workforce development in a role that has the potential to influence future musculoskeletal care pathways.
About You
You are a highly skilled musculoskeletal podiatrist with extensive experience and expertise in complex foot and ankle conditions, rehabilitation, biomechanics, orthotic therapy, and medical imaging. You are a collaborative clinical leader who thrives on innovation, enjoys and has experience in mentoring others, and is passionate about improving patient outcomes through evidence-based care. Endorsement for Scheduled Medicines, or progress towards endorsement, is highly desirable.

Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
About the Department
Monash Health High Risk Foot Service provides best practice inpatient and outpatient care for patients with diabetes and complex limb threatening complications. The aim of the service is to provide evidence based, best practice care to patients with complex diabetes related (and other high risk) foot complications with a focus on reducing hospital admissions, minimising length of stay and reducing the rates of major amputation. The service in jointly run by Podiatry, Vascular (including Interventional Radiology), Orthopaedics, Diabetes with input from Infectious Diseases. In 2024, Monash Health was awarded with a National Association Diabetes Centres High Risk Foot Service Centre of Excellence.
