At AMA (WA), we exist to support and advocate for our members across Western Australia. Every day, we help our members navigate challenges, build their careers, and strengthen the healthcare system.
Reporting to our Senior Lead Organiser, we're looking for a people-first Organiser who is energised by building relationships, growing membership, and identifying & developing activists.
This isn't a desk-bound role.
You'll be out in hospitals and workplaces, meeting doctors where they work, listening to their experiences, supporting workplace representatives, and helping to grow a strong and engaged membership network across WA.
Most importantly, you'll join a passionate team of advocates, organisers, and industrial relations specialists who genuinely care about making a difference for members.

Attend hospital orientations, inductions, and workplace events.
Connect members with the advocacy, representation, and support available through AMA (WA).
Build trust, identify workplace issues, and support collective solutions.
Help to develop and run workplace campaigns.
Travel across Western Australia to engage directly with members.
Demonstrated experience in a similar role, particularly within professional services, membership-based organisations, or the healthcare sector.
Strong union-aligned personal values of equity, justice, respect and integrity.
Exceptional people and communication skills.
Empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others succeed.
Confidence building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Energy, initiative, and a community-building mindset.
A collaborative approach and passion for working as part of a team.
Current WA Driver's Licence.
Previous organising, campaigning and industrial relations experience is welcomed, but not essential.
Why AMA (WA)?At AMA (WA), this role is about more than growing membership.
It's about building genuine connections, supporting doctors throughout their careers, and ensuring they feel heard, valued, and backed by a strong professional community.
You'll be part of a collaborative and purpose-driven team that is passionate about advocating for doctors and strengthening healthcare across Western Australia. Every conversation, workplace visit, and member interaction is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference.
What We OfferFlexible work arrangements.
A supportive team culture that values collaboration, wellbeing, and professional growth.
3 additional paid leave days each year for Christmas (after 12 months)
Discounted HBF health insurance.
Free and confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counselling services.
Paid blood donor leave.
Annual flu vaccination program.
Paid parental leave and flexible return-to-work arrangements.
If you're someone who loves working with people, creating meaningful connections, and being part of a team that's making a real impact, we want to hear from you.
