About the role
We're seeking a hands-on Site Manager to run day-to-day operations on a civil construction site in Coffs Harbour, covering kerb and gutter works, road realignment, drainage adjustments, and associated streetscape upgrades.
Key responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on program and to specification
Supervise site crews and subcontractors, allocate resources, and manage the construction schedule
Implement and enforce the site's Work Health & Safety Management Plan, and maintain a safe work environment at all times
Ensure work complies with quality requirements, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and checklists
Implement the site's Traffic and Pedestrian Management Plan, keeping roads, footpaths, bus stops and local business access safe and operational throughout construction
Apply environmental management controls in line with the project's Environmental Management Plan
Liaise professionally with the client's representative, council officers, utility providers and local businesses/stakeholders
Manage materials, plant and equipment on site, and coordinate deliveries
Maintain accurate site records, diaries, and progress reporting
Identify and escalate variations, delays or site issues promptly
About you
Proven experience as a Site Manager or Supervisor on civil construction or roadworks projects
Current White Card (Construction Induction Training)
Current driver's licence
Working knowledge of WHS, quality and environmental management systems on construction sites (Cert IV in WHS or similar highly regarded)
Experience managing traffic control and pedestrian management on live road/streetscape sites
Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to read and work from civil construction drawings and specifications
Well organised, safety-focused, and comfortable managing subcontractors and crews to a program
