Site Manager

About the role

We're seeking a hands-on Site Manager to run day-to-day operations on a civil construction site in Coffs Harbour, covering kerb and gutter works, road realignment, drainage adjustments, and associated streetscape upgrades.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on program and to specification

• Supervise site crews and subcontractors, allocate resources, and manage the construction schedule

• Implement and enforce the site's Work Health & Safety Management Plan, and maintain a safe work environment at all times

• Ensure work complies with quality requirements, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and checklists

• Implement the site's Traffic and Pedestrian Management Plan, keeping roads, footpaths, bus stops and local business access safe and operational throughout construction

• Apply environmental management controls in line with the project's Environmental Management Plan

• Liaise professionally with the client's representative, council officers, utility providers and local businesses/stakeholders

• Manage materials, plant and equipment on site, and coordinate deliveries

• Maintain accurate site records, diaries, and progress reporting

• Identify and escalate variations, delays or site issues promptly

About you

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or Supervisor on civil construction or roadworks projects

• Current White Card (Construction Induction Training)

• Current driver's licence

• Working knowledge of WHS, quality and environmental management systems on construction sites (Cert IV in WHS or similar highly regarded)

• Experience managing traffic control and pedestrian management on live road/streetscape sites

• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to read and work from civil construction drawings and specifications

• Well organised, safety-focused, and comfortable managing subcontractors and crews to a program
