Rail Safety Workers / Shunter

We are seeking reliable and motivated individuals to join our Rail team based at our plant in Manildra NSW.

Manildra Flour Mill, in Central West NSW is the largest flour mill in Australia. This mill grinds wheats to produce a full range of flours, from low-protein biscuit flours and protein-enriched flours through to household and baker’s flours and specialty flours tailored to the needs of our customers, both domestically and in many export markets.

We have a vacancy in our Rail team at Manildra, NSW. Working on a 7-day roster primarily from 7am to 3pm, however you must be available to work flexible hours as required due to train demands.

The Position will involve:

• Rail operations include shunting while adhering to safe working regulations and requirements 

• Load flour wagons safely and efficiently, ensuring accurate product transfer and compliance with operational, safety and quality standards

• Preparation and inspection of locomotives and wagons in accordance with operational procedures

• Ensuring that all work is performed with a ‘safety first’ attitude

• Safe operation to load and unload wagons

The role will include availability to work across a 7 day roster and flexibility to work shifts at short notice.

You will need:   

• A strong focus on safety

• Qualifications and demonstrated experience in a similar role

• Current drivers' licence

• A willingness to undertake ongoing training

• Flexibility to work a roster over 7 days, predominately on day shift 7am - 3pm

• Previous experience in rail yard operations will be highly regarded
