About the role
James Cook University is seeking an exceptional academic leader to shape the future of implementation science in Northern Australia and the Tropics. This is a rare opportunity to build and lead a high‑performing research group, drive interdisciplinary partnerships, and translate research into real-world impact for regional, rural, and remote communities.
As part of the JCU Horizons Program, this position begins with a three‑year research‑intensive phase supported by a dedicated team—including a postdoctoral fellow and PhD candidates—before transitioning to a balanced teaching and research role. You’ll have the platform, resources, and institutional commitment to create meaningful change in health systems and outcomes across the region.
