Are you an experienced MH clinician with a background and interest in management and Child and Adolescent Mental Health? An exciting opportunity awaits to manage and lead an innovative team.

The Clinical Manager, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) will provide expert operational and clinical leadership, and supervision to the multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality mental health care and efficient use of resources across Mental Health Services. 

If you are an overseas qualified Social Worker, you are required to have your qualifications assessed by the AASW to meet the position criteria.

Selection Criteria:

1. Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning. Professional qualifications in Social Work (eligible for membership of AASW) or Occupational Therapy (with current AHPRA registration), or Registered Nurse (with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, AHPRA), or Senior Psychologist with a recognised 4 year degree in Psychology (with current AHPRA registration) and at least 8 years' post registration experience; or Senior Clinical Psychologist with current AHPRA registration and endorsement in Clinical Psychology, an accredited minimum two-year full-time equivalent Masters degree or higher in Clinical Psychology and 5 years postgraduation clinical experience.
2. Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience in the management and delivery of health care services, particularly in a complex child & adolescent community mental health setting.
3. Demonstrated ability to provide high-level guidance, leadership, and strategic management of staff, resources, and services, with a strong focus on building team capability and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
4. Effective interpersonal skills that demonstrate the ability to engage, enable, and manage teams; with a focus on recovery-oriented, trauma-focused and a strengths-based approach that incorporates consumer collaboration in care planning.
5. Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
6. Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and demonstrated application of evidence-based practice within mental health.
7. Current NSW Driver's License, or a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position. Travel to other sites in the district may be required.
