Kids Heart Research is the research arm of the Heart Centre for Children within the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN).
It is a multidisciplinary, translational research program focused on improving outcomes for children and families affected by congenital and acquired heart disease, with key themes including genetics, clinical research, bioengineering, and psychological health. The group undertakes a broad range of research activities from clinical trials and registries to neurodevelopmental and psychosocial studies, with a focus on embedding research within clinical care and delivering strong national and international collaborations.
THE ROLE:
Sitting within the clinical research stream of Kids Heart Research, this position supports the delivery and growth of the ANZ Fontan Registry and associated paediatric CHD research projects, contributing to improved long-term outcomes for children and young people with congenital heart disease. It provides end-to-end operational support across research, data, and governance activities, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and to a high standard across all sites.
Core responsibilities include:
Key stakeholders for this role include clinicians, researchers, state site coordinators, collaborators, and Fontan families.
This position is a network position working across both The Children’s Hospital at Westmead (CHW) and Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick (SCH).
What you'll be doing
This position requires a high level of autonomy and the ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision. The primary purpose of this role is to contribute actively to the provision of high-quality research activities at the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN)
