About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join the team at Amaroo Care Services Limited on a casual basis. Based in Gosnells, this role offers the flexibility of casual work whilst making a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in enabling individuals to achieve independence, improve their quality of life, and participate meaningfully in daily activities. This position is central to our mission of providing person-centred rehabilitation and support services to our community.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate clients' functional abilities, limitations and rehabilitation potential.

• Developing individualised treatment plans tailored to each client's goals, needs and circumstances.

• Implementing therapeutic interventions and rehabilitation programmes focused on improving independence in activities of daily living.

• Providing evidence-based occupational therapy treatment across a range of settings as required.

• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including physiotherapists, nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, holistic client care.

• Documenting client progress, treatment outcomes and clinical notes in accordance with professional standards and organisational requirements.

What we're looking for

• Current registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) as an Occupational Therapist

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy or equivalent recognised qualification.

• Demonstrated experience in Residential Aged Care, rehabilitation, or community health settings.

• Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills with the ability to develop and implement individualised care plans.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and families from diverse backgrounds.

• Ability to work independently and make sound professional judgements whilst collaborating effectively within a team environment.

• Knowledge of adaptive equipment, assistive technology and environmental modifications.

• Genuine commitment to person centred care and a genuine passion for supporting Residents to reach their goals.

We offer a competitive salary with 25% casual loading, super and the ability to salary sacrifice up to $18,550 per annum. We are located in a peaceful Gosnells location, skip the city traffic, free parking, on site cafe.
