We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our dedicated team at mecwacare Flora Hill our 62-bed aged care home and mecwacare Long Gully, our 52-bed aged care home in Bendigo.

About the role: - Casual weekend opportunity (9:00 am–5:00 pm) and weekday leave cover.
- Our Long Gully and Flora Hill homes are conveniently located with easy access to public transport. Local bus services are nearby, and Bendigo Railway Station is approximately 3–4 km away
What you bring:
- Previous experience in aged Care.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in hospitality.
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery.
- HLTFSE001 Follow basic food safety practices (Release 1).
- HLTFSE005 Apply and monitor food safety requirements (Release 1).
- HLTFSE007 Oversee the day-to-day implementation of food safety in the workplace (Release1).
- Food Safety Supervisor.
- Demonstrated knowledge of kitchen operations and management of kitchen staff.
- Experience in working to a set budget
- Ability to provide a high standard of customer service
- Experience in the preparation and presentation of food for large groups.
