At AHRI, marketing isn't focused on a single product, campaign or audience. Our team supports a diverse portfolio that includes membership, HR Certification, education and training, conferences, research, content, and brand initiatives. Success requires someone who can think strategically, prioritise confidently and bring together multiple moving parts to deliver commercial outcomes.
You’ll lead and be supported by a highly engaged and productive team of four.

The Manager, Marketing & Communication plays a critical role in growing AHRI's reach, influence and impact, supporting our position as the voice of the people profession in Australia.
What you’ll do
Develop and execute AHRI's marketing strategy across a broad portfolio of products, services and programs
Lead integrated campaigns that drive growth across membership, HR Certification, education, research, events and thought leadership
Protect and strengthen AHRI's brand across all channels and touchpoints
Manage a complex pipeline of competing priorities while ensuring campaigns are coordinated, targeted and commercially focused
Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to translate organisational priorities into effective marketing plans
Use data, analytics and customer insights to optimise campaign performance and audience engagement
Manage external agencies and marketing partners to deliver high-quality outcomes
Lead, coach and develop a high-performing marketing and communications team.
What makes this role different?
The challenge and opportunity in this role is breadth.
In a single week, you might be launching an HR Certification campaign, planning acquisition activity for membership, promoting new research findings, supporting Australia's largest HR conference, briefing an agency on a brand initiative and reviewing marketing performance to inform future investment decisions.
Success comes from being able to switch between strategic thinking and execution, while confidently managing multiple stakeholders, audiences, deadlines and commercial priorities. This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, complexity and momentum!
What you’ll bring
Proven experience leading marketing strategy and campaign delivery
Experience marketing a diverse portfolio of products, services or programs
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and multiple concurrent projects
Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of how marketing contributes to organisational objectives
Experience managing and optimising digital marketing channels and marketing technology platforms
A data-driven approach to decision-making and performance improvement
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
Experience managing external agencies and suppliers
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Where this role sits
You’ll report to the General Manager, Sales, Marketing and Events, and work closely with colleagues in every part of the business.
