The successful applicant will play a key role in driving sales, supervising staff and ensuring the store operates efficiently and profitably.

Task & responsibilities Key Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the supermarket, ensuring efficient and effective store performance. Lead, supervise and support a team of retail employees, preparing staff rosters and coordinating daily duties. Monitor customer service standards and promptly resolve customer enquiries and complaints in a professional manner.

Plan and implement merchandising strategies, promotional displays and seasonal product placement to maximise sales. Monitor inventory levels, coordinate stock ordering with suppliers and ensure adequate stock availability while minimising waste. Analyse sales performance, stock movement and purchasing trends to optimise product range and profitability.

Maintain accurate stock control procedures, including stocktakes and inventory reconciliation. Ensure compliance with food safety, workplace health and safety, and company policies at all times. Monitor store presentation, cleanliness and merchandising standards to create an attractive shopping environment and undertaking budgeting.

Assist in recruiting, training and developing retail staff to achieve operational and customer service objectives. Manage cash handling procedures, banking reconciliation and store security requirements. Qualification & experience

To be successful in this role, you will have: At least one year of relevant retail management experience , preferably within a supermarket, grocery or convenience retail environment. A qualification in a related field (or equivalent experience). Strong leadership and people management skills.

Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities. Experience with stock control, merchandising and inventory management. Sound understanding of retail operations and customer service principles.
