About the Role

As a Travel Surgical Registered Nurse, you will deliver high‑quality perioperative and post‑operative nursing care across regional and rural hospitals. You’ll support patients through pre‑ and post‑surgical phases, optimise recovery, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams in surgical and general wards.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive pre‑operative and post‑operative nursing care
• Monitor and manage post‑surgical patients, including pain management
• Perform wound care, drains, and post‑operative assessments
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products
• Recognise and escalate deteriorating patients using clinical pathways
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with NSW Health policies
• Locations – Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD)

What you’ll need

• Current AHPRA Registration (Registered Nurse – Division 1)
• Minimum 1 year recent Surgical or Medical‑Surgical nursing experience
• Strong post‑operative assessment and clinical decision‑making skills
• Current working rights in Australia (urgent, non‑sponsorship role)
