Civil Project Managers - Bruce Highway - Central Coast

We are involved in Civil Roadworks Projects for the Bruce Highway Targeted Safety Program, which is being highly publicised at the moment.

There will be more opportunities coming up between Gin Gin & Rockhampton and we are seeking experienced Civil Project Managers / Engineers -interested in becoming Pre-Qualified with TMR under CSG - to allow them to work on the projects. PMC01/2, PMAC01/2, PME02.

It's free & we provide guidance along the way. (This is also open to people who are already Pre-Qualified under other companies & wish to widen their options for opportunities).

As a guide, you would likely need a minimum of 5 - 10 years of Civil Road Construction and maintenance delivery experience will be required to manage & lead the projects, during the delivery phase from a contractor's standpoint which would include the need to be competent with the following areas.

Budgeting, programming, monitoring expenditure, controlling resources and reviewing priorities. Manage Labour, Plant, Materials and Subcontract within budget and time constraints. Undertaking various contract management activities including client liaison. Procurement of road making materials and project services within guidelines. Implement PM techniques and systems in accordance with systems and processes. Submit reports and provide information to management within timeframes. Train and guide project staff on specifications and construction processes. Contribute to the estimating process for bids or offers. A high standard in traffic management. Strong experience & knowledge of TMR Technical Specifications, Experience delivering TIC-CO (SI), D&C and/or similar contracts for TMR or similar clients, Working knowledge of TMR Project Management systems or other similar project management packages, Strong written, verbal communication & computer literacy skills,

Mandatory Criteria

Experience working on Civil Roads Infrastructure Construction Projects either directly or indirectly for or with the Queensland Department of Transport & Main Roads on DTMR Projects & be well versed and experienced with their policies, procedures & standards, Or; alternatively, any Australian Road Authority, directly or indirectly.

Computer skills in Microsoft Windows operating system, MS Word, MS Excel, file management and email. Demonstrable Computer or tablet based diarising or reporting software skills.

A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Or Bach, Tech Civil)

The sites can be located anywhere between Gin Gin & Rockhampton.

The projects typically are 1 - 2 year duration's with the possibility of extensions or transition onto other TMR / Council projects.

The proposed hours are normally 40 per week & usually dayshift, but can sometimes involve night or weekend shifts to conduct the works, but these will be discussed & agreed prior to each assignment. (If shifts are required, they are usually cycled alternately to provide relief).

Must have a driver's licence and have access to own transport to/from home to site & mobile phone. Own laptop will be an advantage.

Preference will be given to someone already living in QLD &/or willing to relocate to a regional coastal town, however we will consider DIDO & FIFO.
