About the role
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate and innovative Head of Special Education Services (H01) to provide strategic leadership and support the delivery of inclusive, high-quality educational programs for students with diverse learning needs. This key leadership role will oversee the development and implementation of personalised learning and support programs, lead a collaborative team of specialist teachers and support staff, and work closely with students, families, school leaders and external agencies to promote positive educational, social and wellbeing outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team and strengthen inclusive practices across the school, ensuring every student is supported to engage, achieve and reach their full potential.
About Us
Redbank Plains State School is a proud and vibrant learning community, guided by our vision to create “a community where we belong, engage and love to learn.” This vision sits at the heart of all that we do. We are committed to ensuring every child feels known, valued, safe and supported to achieve their very best.
We know that a strong sense of belonging is fundamental to learning and wellbeing. When students feel connected to their school, their teachers and their peers, they are more confident to participate, take risks in their learning, learn from challenges and celebrate their successes. Our role is to create the conditions where every student can grow in confidence, resilience and curiosity, developing the knowledge, skills and character needed for a successful future.
Our school motto, “Success through perseverance,” reflects the values we seek to foster each day. We encourage our students to keep trying, to show courage when learning is challenging and to take pride in the progress they make. As the saying goes, “Great things are done by a series of small things brought together.”
