Sap Materials Management Consultant

Role OverviewWe’re looking for an experienced SAP Functional Consultant with 6+ years of SAP consulting experience to deliver functional support, solution design, and project delivery across a large SAP ECC 6.0 ERP environment. You’ll support SAP EAM (Plant Maintenance), Procurement (MM), and Logistics (SD) business processes—driving production support, system enhancements, and project initiatives while collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Support & Continuous ImprovementProvide functional support across SAP EAM, MM, and SD modules.Analyse and resolve incidents, defects, and service requests.Perform root cause analysis and recommend permanent fixes.Collaborate with developers, Basis, Security, and Integration teams.Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimisation.Functional Consulting & Project DeliveryGather and analyse business requirements.Configure SAP standard functionality and prepare functional specs.Conduct impact assessments and support SIT/UAT testing.Develop documentation and facilitate end‑user training.🔹 Functional ExpertiseSAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)Work Order Management, Maintenance NotificationsPreventive & Corrective MaintenanceEquipment and Functional LocationsMaintenance Planning & SchedulingIntegration with Procurement, Inventory & FinanceSAP Materials Management (MM)Source‑to‑Pay processes, PRs & POsGoods Receipt, Inventory Management, Invoice VerificationService Procurement, Contracts, Vendor Master DataRelease Strategies & Approval WorkflowsSAP Sales & Distribution (SD)Order‑to‑Cash processesSales Order Management, Delivery Processing, BillingCustomer Master Data🔹 Stakeholder EngagementCollaborate with business users to define requirements and recommend SAP best practices.Support workshops, testing, and production deployments.Build strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors.Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.🔹 Essential Skills & ExperienceMinimum 6 years’ SAP functional consulting experience.Strong hands‑on expertise in SAP EAM/PM, MM, and SD.Experience supporting SAP ECC 6.0 production environments.Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.Strong understanding of end‑to‑end business processes and SAP integration.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.🔹 DesirableSAP Certification in PM/EAM, MM, or SD.Experience in Utilities, Energy, or Infrastructure industries.Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.Exposure to both BAU support and project delivery.
