About Young Guns
Young Guns is on a mission to change the way frontline labour works - swapping burnout and disengagement for high-performing, genuinely fulfilled teams. Proudly First Nations owned, they've grown a workforce of 2,000+ people across Australia, New Zealand and Canada, delivering results inside brands like Kmart, Maersk and FedEx that most labour hire businesses simply can't touch. With a workforce target of 10,000 people, Young Guns needs someone who can tell that story as boldly as they're living it.
The RoleThis is a role for a content-led marketer who is driven by the impact of their work in service of something they actually believe in. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll have real autonomy to build the content and brand strategy your way: bring the plan, own it, run it. You’ll be the one turning Young Guns’ results - the stats, the stories, the people - into content that builds the brand with future customers and future team members alike. And you’ll do it as part of a high-performing, genuinely supportive team who are all in on the same mission, in a no-ego culture where people come to work energised because they can see exactly what they’re contributing to. If you’re a strong writer and storyteller who’s as driven by purpose as you are by great content, this is the role to bring both to life.
You’ll own:
- Brand and content strategy — pillars, messaging and a genuine always-on content plan
- Turning commercial results into published case studies and proof points
- Day-to-day content production — web, social, articles and blogs built for SEO and AI-search visibility
- Experimenting with AI tools to speed up the content loop (training provided)
- Getting out on site for authentic, phone-shot content, briefing in freelancers or agencies for bigger pieces when specialist support is needed
- Supporting key customer events and internal comms / brand voice
What you’ll get in return
Real autonomy in a senior marketing role, working directly with an inspirational and supportive CEO. You’ll have genuine flexibility, be part of a values-led, no-ego culture with a First Nations story at its heart, the opportunity to innovate and integrate technology and access to professional development. You’ll also have the ability to bring in specialist freelancers or agencies — videography, photography, graphic design, web support and more — for specific projects or tasks as needed.
To be considered, you’ll bring:
- Strong marketing communications experience in either B2B or B2C context
- Experience in content creation, brand and content marketing
- Proven experience in creating and delivering content strategies and marketing plans
- Strong copywriting and communication skills
- Strategic instincts to help shape brand direction, not just execute it
- Comfortable with autonomy — you bring a plan, rather than ask what’s next
- Genuine curiosity about AI tools, tech and modern marketing workflows
- An energised, proactive and driven approach to your work
- Values alignment — kind, connective, comfortable owning mistakes, and genuinely energised by the Young Guns story
