Maintenance Engineer

About The Role

In this role, you will take ownership of maintenance and construction projects ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while working in a dynamic operational environment with high stakeholder expectations.

You will work closely with the Contract Manager, site teams, subcontractors, and client, playing a key role in both project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives. Duties include end to end project management while ensuring quality, safety and environmental compliance across all works.

Coordinate works programs including two-week lookaheads and long-term planningManage subcontractors, procurement and onsite delivery activitiesMonitor project costs, preparing forecasts and supporting monthly reportingLiaise with clients, stakeholders and internal teams to drive successful outcomesSupport defect management, audits and continuous improvement initiativesProvide technical advice and support to supervisors and delivery teams

Required Skills And Experience

You are a driven civil engineer who thrives in a fast paced, site-based environment and enjoys working closely with teams and stakeholders.

Bachelor of Engineering (civil) or similarSound experience in road maintenance, asset management or civil constructionExperience working in maintenance environments (roads, pavements, drainage)Strong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work autonomously while leading by exampleSound knowledge of quality processes (e.g. NCR, LOT, RFI)Current drivers licence and construction white cardIdeally you will also possess experience with asset management systems (Maximo, Asset Vision)
