Showroom consultant/Interior Designer

About the role

JH Wilberforce Pty Ltd is seeking a talented and passionate Showroom Consultant/Interior Designer to join our dynamic team in Malaga, Western Australia. This is a full-time position that combines the best of both client-facing consultation and creative interior design expertise. You will be the link between our clients' vision and our colour benchtop solutions, working from our showroom location in Malaga. In this role, you will showcase your expertise in interior design whilst developing strategies to increase showroom traffic.

What you'll be doing

• Consulting with clients to understand their design needs, preferences.

• Creating design concepts and presentations that translate to client requirements.

• Showcasing products, materials and design options from our extensive showroom collection to inspire and inform client decisions

• Providing expert advice on colour schemes, to enhance interior spaces.

• Building and maintaining positive client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals

• Staying current with interior design trends, materials and industry best practices

What we're looking for

• Qualification in Interior Design or equivalent professional experience in the interior design industry

• Proven experience working as an interior designer or design consultant, ideally within a showroom or retail environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage clients and build rapport

• Sound knowledge of interior design principles, colour theory, spatial planning and current design trends

• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality design solutions

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting

• Knowledge of Australian design standards and building regulations is advantageous
