About the Position

The City has two opportunities available for this position, one short-term temporary (6 months with possible extension) and one permanent, both full-time and based at the City's Operations Centre. Please specify in your cover letter which opportunity you will be applying for, or whether you are open to either.

Working within our Assets and Infrastructure Support team, this position performs an integral asset management and project financial management function within the Infrastructure Services Directorate, providing technical advice on infrastructure asset management, asset planning, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and internal procedures and policies. Effective collaboration with various Business Units, such as Finance and the operational teams, is key to the success of this role.

To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate:

• Tertiary qualifications in asset management, engineering, data analytics, finance, accounting or a related field; and/or considerable relevant experience.
• Experience in an analytical, business improvement, planning, financial analysis or asset management role.
• High level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical reports.
• Ability to foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work well independently or in a team.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel and experience using database applications and business information systems.
• A current National Police Clearance.
• A current 'C' Class Driver's Licence.
