Job Overview

The Commercial Turf Installer is responsible for delivering commercial turf installation services, including site preparation, turf removal and the installation of jumbo and standard roll turf in accordance with project specifications and Greenacres’ quality and safety standards. 

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake site preparation, turf removal, marking out and the installation of jumbo and standard roll turf in accordance with project specifications and Greenacres' quality standards

• Maintain clean, organised and safe work sites throughout project delivery

• Safely operate, inspect and care for company vehicles, plant, machinery and equipment used in commercial turf installation activities

• Promptly report equipment faults and maintenance requirements

• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to casual and less experienced employees while working on site

• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve project outcomes

• Represent Greenacres professionally by providing courteous and respectful service to clients, contractors and members of the public

• Comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, including the safe use of equipment, chemicals and personal protective equipment

• Identify and report hazards, incidents and near misses in accordance with company procedures

Qualifications / Licences

Essential:

• Valid, unrestricted C-class driver’s licence

• White Card

Desirable:

• Certificate III in Landscape Construction, Horticulture or a related field

• Manual Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain

• Farm machinery and equipment licences or the ability to obtain

• First Aid Certificate Level II or the ability to obtain

• MR or HR driver’s licence

Experience

Essential:

• Experience undertaking physically demanding outdoor work

• Experience operating hand and power tools safely

• Experience working effectively as part of a team

Desirable:

• Experience in commercial turf installation, landscaping or a related industry

• Experience operating plant and machinery used in ground preparation and turf installation

• Experience working on commercial or civil construction sites

Inductions and training provided.

Pay rate is a guide only and will be determined on qualifications, skills and experience.
