Southern Cross Education Institute (SCEI) and SCEI Higher Education (SCEI-HE) are looking for a Social Media Coordinator to manage and grow our digital presence while driving student lead generation across all major platforms.

THE ROLE
This role offers end-to-end ownership of social media for SCEI and SCEI-HE. You will be responsible for content creation, platform management, engagement growth, and converting social traffic into high-quality student leads.You’ll work closely with marketing, admissions, and leadership teams to ensure social media supports institutional growth and recruitment objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and grow all social media channels for SCEI and SCEI-HE (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others as required)Plan, create, and publish engaging content including Reels, TikToks, short videos, carousels, and postsDevelop and execute content strategies aligned with student recruitment and brand positioningGenerate and nurture student leads through organic content and paid campaignsSet up, manage, and optimise Meta and TikTok ad campaigns for lead generationWrite compelling captions and calls-to-action that drive enquiries and applicationsMonitor analytics, track performance, and provide regular reporting with actionable insightsStay up to date with platform trends, algorithm changes, and best practicesCollaborate with internal teams on campaigns, events, and key enrolment periodsMaintain brand consistency across all social platforms
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
3+ years’ experience in a Social Media Coordinator or similar roleQualification in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related fieldStrong hands-on experience creating and editing short-form video contentProven experience using Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads for lead generationSolid understanding of social media analytics and performance optimisationAbility to manage multiple platforms, priorities, and deadlines effectivelyExcellent written communication and content storytelling skillsA portfolio or examples of social media channels or campaigns you’ve managed
HIGHLY REGARDED (BUT NOT ESSENTIAL)
Experience in the education or international student sectorExperience generating student or customer leads via social mediaKnowledge of CRMs or lead funnelsMultilingual skills
