Software Engineer (Backend / Full Stack PHP) | API & Data Platform | Sydney

What you’ll be doingDesigning and building scalable backend systems and APIsContributing across the full lifecycle from ideation to production releaseWorking on data-driven features and tuning systems for performanceInvestigating complex problems and delivering robust long-term solutionsCollaborating with product, design, and leadership stakeholdersContributing to engineering standards through code reviews and best practices
Their Stack & RequirementsPHP, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, PythonPostgreSQL/MySQL and SQL designAWS, DockerAPIs, backend services, or data intensive systemsTesting, CI/CD, and agile development practicesComfortable contributing across frontend when required
Nice to have:Experience with AI tools, data platforms, or search technologies (e.g. Elasticsearch)Exposure to additional backend languages (e.g. Go)
