About The Role
We currently have opportunities available in our Engineering Associate Program to offer recent graduates who have completed their Advanced Diploma in Civil Construction Design or Advanced Diploma in Civil and Structural Engineering at a Western Australian TAFE.
Applications will be considered for current students who will be completing their Advanced Diploma by December 2026 for our 2027 intake.
This is a three-year rotational program, providing practical learning experiences in a range of specialist areas. The rotations are based on your strengths, skills, and interest within business needs and include a 12-month rotation in one of our regional locations, fast tracking your experience in how our engineering projects impact our communities.

To be considered for our Engineering Associate Program, you must:
be a recent TAFE graduate (within 2 years from completion of your Advanced Diploma) or have your Advanced Diploma completed by December 2026 for our 2027 intake.
be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
be motivated to work at Main Roads, demonstrated through your strengths and personal attributes
have a career interest in materials engineering; or working in regional areas
have strong problem-solving skills, including embracing change and challenge
be great at working together in teams
be able to build relationships with stakeholders
