Due to strong growth and confirmed local contracts, JAC Civil is actively recruiting for Leading Hand or Skilled Construction Workers.

About The Role

We are looking for a Trades, Leading Hand or Skilled Construction Worker to carry out skilled civil works including:

• Road construction, footpaths, kerb & channel, stormwater, drainage headwalls, and concrete structures

• Read and interpret drawings, set out works with lasers or dumpy levels

• Operate plant equipment (Excavator, Roller, Skid Steer – HR licence advantageous)

• Assist and mentor less experienced workers

• Deliver high quality finishing work and promote safe work practices on site

Key Requirements

• Civil construction experience (road works, drainage, or related projects)

• Current QLD driver’s licence (MC, HR or MR desirable but not essential)

• Excavator or other plant operator tickets

• Certificate III in a relevant trade (e.g., Carpentry, Concreting, or Civil Construction) (desirable but not essential)

• Ability to accurately read and interpret construction drawings and set out works

• Minimum 1–2 years experience in similar role

• Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and environmental standards

• Physically fit and willing to perform site labouring tasks if required

• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and team focused approach
