About the role
Furnmaker is seeking Factory Hands to join our Furniture Making team in our Northgate (4013), QLD facility. This can be a casual/part-time or full time opportunity to be part of a dynamic and fast-paced cabinet/furniture making environement, where you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality custom cabinets and furniture. We have multiple opportunitues on offer depending on skills and experience. Roles within the assembly team or the CNC/edgebanding parts processing team are on offer.
We make furniture for Office, Education, Health and Aged care environments.
What you'll be doing
Assist in the fabrication and assembly of cabinets, furniture and other wood products
Operate machinery and power tools to cut, shape, and finish cabinetry components
Perform hands-on tasks such as cleaning and preparaing parts - adding hardware and assembling
Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area
Follow work instructions, plans and quality standards
Support the team in achieving production targets and deadlines
What we're looking for
Previous experience working in a cabinet making or woodworking environment is an advantage. Training provided for each role is on hand.
Proficiency in using power tools and machinery common to the cabinet making trade would be an advantage
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work orders an advantage.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Good physical fitness and stamina to perform physically demanding tasks

In addition to a competitive salary, we work a 4.5 day week with an early finish Friday. Overtime on occasion may be on offer. We also have on-site parking.
