Allplastics Engineering is known for quality products, reliable on-time delivery, and responsive personal service. The company serves a broad range of industries, including architecture, construction, medical and pharmaceutical, mining, transport, signage, and exhibition and display.Role Description The Plastic Fabricator role is a full-time, on-site position based at Allplastics Engineering’s facility in Chatswood, NSW. The role involves fabricating plastic components and assemblies using cutting, routing, bending, gluing, polishing, and finishing techniques in accordance with drawings and specifications. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and operating machinery and hand tools, measuring and preparing materials, checking quality and tolerances, and following safe work practices. The Plastic Fabricator will collaborate with the production team to meet project deadlines, assist with maintenance of equipment and work areas, and support continuous improvement in fabrication processes. The role may also involve interaction with supervisors and project coordinators to clarify technical requirements and ensure accurate, high-quality outcomes.Qualifications Experience in plastic fabrication or related trade (e.g., machining, shopfitting, signage, or general fabrication), with skills in cutting, forming, bonding, and finishing plastic materials.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and work specifications, using measuring tools and templates accurately.Proficiency in operating workshop equipment and hand tools (e.g., panel saws, routers, CNC or manual machines, polishers) and following safe operating procedures.Strong attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and ability to inspect and verify work against required tolerances and standards.Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work cooperatively in a production environment and follow instructions clearly.Good physical capacity to perform manual handling tasks safely, and commitment to workplace health and safety practices.Relevant trade qualification or certificate in plastics, fabrication, machining, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.Previous experience in industries such as architecture, construction, signage, exhibition and display, or manufacturing is beneficial.
