Senior Management Accountant

As our advisory and outsourced CFO division continues to grow, we're looking for a commercially minded Senior Management Accountant to join the team.

This is an advisory-focused role where you'll work directly with business owners and management teams to improve financial visibility, cash flow and decision-making.

You'll operate as an outsourced finance manager for a portfolio of clients and become a key part of their leadership and decision-making process.

• Prepare monthly management accounts and board-style reporting packs

• Develop budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections

• Analyse business performance and key financial drivers

• Provide commercial insights and recommendations to clients

• Assist clients with strategic planning and business improvement initiatives

• Manage month-end reporting processes

• Review payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions where required

• Build and maintain dashboard reporting and KPI frameworks

• Support system improvements and process automation opportunities

• Assist clients with Xero, reporting tools and cloud accounting technologies

• Work closely with directors on virtual CFO engagements

• Mentor junior team members and assist with workflow management

You'll enjoy working closely with business owners and translating financial information into practical commercial advice.

Ideally you'll have:

• Bachelor of Accounting, Commerce or Business

• CA or CPA qualified (or close to completion)

• 4+ years' accounting experience

• Experience in management accounting, virtual CFO, commercial accounting or business advisory work

• Strong budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management experience

• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability

• Experience with Xero and cloud-based accounting systems

• Excellent client relationship and communication skills

• A proactive and solutions-focused mindset

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• $100,000 - $130,000 package inclusive of superannuation

• Exposure to exciting growing businesses across multiple industries
