About the RoleLead, mentor and inspire a team dedicated to protecting and enhancing our community. As Team Leader Animals and Amenity, you'll drive the delivery of animal management and compliance services, manage complex investigations, build strong stakeholder relationships, and champion a customer-focused approach that balances education, engagement and enforcement.
What You’ll deliverLead and support a team of Local Laws Officers to deliver high-quality animal management and amenity compliance services.Manage complex, escalated and high-risk compliance investigations, ensuring legislative and regulatory requirements are met.Drive service excellence by overseeing workloads, improving processes and implementing initiatives that enhance customer and community outcomes.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, Victoria Police, neighbouring councils and contractors.Provide leadership, coaching and quality assurance to develop a high-performing, customer-focused and accountable team culture.
What You’ll BringDemonstrated leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor and develop high-performing teams.Strong experience in regulatory compliance, investigations, enforcement or a related field.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive relationships and navigate challenging situations.Sound judgement and decision-making skills, with the confidence to manage complex, sensitive and high-risk matters.Relevant qualifications in investigations, justice, statutory regulation or a related discipline, alongside a commitment to customer-focused service deliveryWillingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check and Functional Assessment (Medical/physio).
