Senior Strategic Planner - Affordable Housing

City of Newcastle (CN) has two newly created opportunities for experienced Senior Strategic Planners with a background in, and passion for, affordable housing contributions and development contributions.

As a Senior Strategic Planner – Affordable Housing and or development contributions you’ll play a key role in shaping Newcastle’s future through strategic urban planning and affordable housing planning and management. Depending on business priorities, your focus may include developing and delivering planning strategies, proposals, policies and reports, or preparing and administering local infrastructure and affordable housing contributions frameworks.

The focus of this senior role is to support the team for affordable housing planning and contributions, you’ll manage complex projects from concept through to implementation, develop project plans, identify resources, engage consultants and lead meaningful community and stakeholder engagement. You’ll also provide specialist advice, mentor team members and contribute to high-quality planning outcomes across the organisation.

Remuneration: $128,610.10 + 17.5% annual leave loading yearly payment + 12% Superannuation per annum for a 35-hour week
