About the role
About the role
As part of the Next Generation Procurement Strategy, the City of Melbourne is establishing a new centralised sourcing function within the Procurement and Commercial Management branch. This initiative will centralise RFQ and quotation activity for low volume branches, reducing procurement effort for operational teams, improving visibility and governance, and delivering stronger value for money outcomes across the organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a newly established function that will play an important role in supporting procurement outcomes across the organisation.
As the Sourcing Specialist, you will support the delivery of the centralised sourcing service by managing RFQs, coordinating supplier engagement, supporting quotation activities and ensuring compliant procurement outcomes. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will help streamline sourcing processes, improve efficiency and contribute to better commercial outcomes across the City of Melbourne.
