Senior Associate – Commercial | Health, Aged Care and Retirement Living

About the Opportunity

We’re on the lookout for a talented Senior Associate to join our Commercial team in Adelaide, working primarily with clients in the aged care and retirement living sectors whether having had experience in that area, or wanting to develop a practice in what is a growing and evolving field.

The role could also be performed from either our Sydney or Melbourne offices, while remaining closely connected to and part of the Adelaide Commercial team.

You will work directly with Principal Lawyer Rebecca Barr, and a highly skilled and collaborative team. You’ll gain hands-on experience and benefit from ongoing mentorship to support your professional development.

This is a dynamic role where no two days are ever the same. You will be hands on in delivering legal advice to providers in the aged care and retirement living sectors, including advice regarding regulatory compliance with the Aged Care Act and Retirement Villages Act as well as general commercial advice.

About You

You’ll ideally bring:

• A minimum of 5 years PQE at Senior Associate level.
• Demonstrated experience in commercial law.
• Experience in the aged care, retirement living or health sectors is desirable, but not essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to think quickly and deliver clear, commercial and tailored advice.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging directly with clients.
• A commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
• An empathetic nature to understand and navigate the human elements of providing advice in the ‘care’ sectors.
