We are currently seeking a motivated, reliable, and experienced individual to join our well-established industrial facility supplying heavily throughout NSW.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role within a heavy industrial production environment, ideal for someone who enjoys staying active and being part of a high-performing team.
You will play a key role in supporting our plate processing operations by:
Identifying efficiencies in plate movements to support processing teams
Working closely with programmers and the Operations Manager to achieve optimal outcomes for customers
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment
Following operational procedures for plate movement, identification, and scheduling
Key Responsibilities
Operate overhead gantry cranes (Magnet) safely and efficiently
Load and unload trucks
Support production and dispatch teams
Perform general yard and warehouse duties
Adhere strictly to safety procedures and site protocols
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Experience operating overhead gantry cranes (Magnet)
Minimum of 6-12 months' experience operating overhead gantry cranes with magnets is required
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Strong communication skills and ability to liaise between programmers and operations leaders
Physically fit and capable of working in a heavy industrial setting
Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
Flexibility with start/finish times and overtime when required
Availability for standard day shift work patterns
Permanent right to work in Australia
High Risk Work Licence for crane operation must be obtained within 3 months of commencement
Highly Regarded:
Prior plate handling experience
Experience with flatbed Plasma, Oxy and/or Laser cutting
Steel industry knowledge
Forklift licence
