Principal Advisors Water Management

Lead water management decisions that support thriving communities and a sustainable future for NSW. 

• Provide strategic advice on some of NSW's most significant development and infrastructure projects. 
• Drive better outcomes for communities through expert water management leadership. 
• 2 x permanent full-time roles
• Parramatta, Newcastle or Wollongong office preferred, though other NSW DPHI Office location will be considered  
• Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $154,231 to $178,369 + super

We're looking for someone who:

• Brings strong experience in water management, hydrology, engineering, environmental science or a related discipline. 
• Has the confidence to lead complex assessments and provide trusted technical advice on significant projects.

• Can translate complex technical information into practical, evidence-based recommendations. 
• Enjoys leading and developing others, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

Essential requirements  

• Degree qualification in a related relevant discipline or equivalent relevant experience e.g., Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Water), Geology, Hydrology, or Applied Science.
