In the role of Clerical Officer, your primary responsibility will be to deliver a comprehensive and customer-focused service across Administration Department, with a particular emphasis on administrative tasks related to Pre-admissions. 

Your duties will encompass but are not restricted to:

• Ensuring patients possess the appropriate level of health fund coverage.
• Take payments of any out of pockets fee from patients.
• Balance and close cash drawers at the end of shift.
• Provide timely and accurate information to the Clinical Team.

• Basic Medical Terminology Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terms adds value to your profile.
• Problem-Solving Aptitude: You display an effective ability to solve problems.

Desirable Qualities: 

• Expanded Medical Terminology Knowledge: A deeper understanding is always an advantage.
• Health Insurance Criteria Awareness: Knowledge of various health insurance criteria is a plus.
• Meditech System Familiarity: If you are acquainted with Meditech, that’s a bonus!

Remuneration

On offer is base hourly rate of $35.85 - $39.96 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. RHC WA PACT Enterprise Agreement: Salaried Officer Level 2 (WA PACT)
