About the role
Doolee is a leading civil construction company operating across Australia, with offices in WA and NSW, delivering complex, high-quality infrastructure projects across a diverse range of sectors. We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced Painter/Blasters to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of our projects.
Position Overview
As a Painter/Blaster, you will carry out high-quality painting and surface preparation works across civil construction projects while maintaining safe work practices and attention to detail. You will work closely with supervisors and project teams to ensure all painting tasks are completed efficiently, professionally and in line with project specifications and Australian standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces for painting including sanding, patching, cleaning and priming.
Apply paints, coatings and finishes using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
Interpret project plans, specifications and colour schedules.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within project timeframes.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
Identify surface defects and recommend appropriate preparation and repair methods.
Operate and maintain painting tools, equipment and materials safely and effectively.
Work collaboratively with supervisors, tradespeople and subcontractors on-site.
Adhere to company policies, safety procedures and quality standards.
Assist with ongoing maintenance and touch-up works as required.
Qualifications and Experience
3+ years’ experience as a Blaster/Painter within the construction or industrial sector.
Strong knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation and coating applications.
Ability to work FIFO on a 2/1 roster.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Good communication and time management skills.
Relevant trade qualification in Painting and Decorating or equivalent experience.
Valid White Card.
Current National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain one).
