Breakfast Demi Chef

We are currently seeking a Breakfast Demi Chef at The Reef Hotel Casino, the pre-eminent centre for gaming, entertainment, food and accommodation in Cairns. 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced chef to join the kitchen brigade.

Key Responsibilities

• Food preparation and presentation for breakfast, functions and buffet service for the Merchant Café 

• Work closely with all chefs to ensure no doubling up of stock / product occurs.

• Set and accomplish daily routine, in conjunction with Chef de Partie and/or Sous Chef.

• Work as part of a team and maintain a clean and hygienic work environment whilst  ensuring a product of high quality and presentation standards

Criteria

• Recent / Relevant Experience.

• A passion for the culinary arts.

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment without negative impact.

• Pro-active and self-motivated with an eye for detail.

• Commitment to quality presentation for all menu items.

• Able to perform multiple tasks.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and happy demeanour.

• Ability to accommodate flexibility with hours.

• Excellent standard of presentation and hygiene.
