About the role
This role combines content writing with legal research. You will work with solicitors and the marketing team to develop useful, accurate content for people seeking information about personal injury, medical negligence, workers compensation, superannuation and TPD claims, and estate disputes. You do not need experience across every practice area. Strong writing skills, attention to detail and a willingness to learn are what matter most.
Key responsibilities
Writing and updating website pages, articles, FAQs and legal guides
Researching legal topics and checking information against reliable sources
Explaining legal concepts in plain English with empathy and sensitivity
Working with solicitors to review content and incorporate feedback
Helping keep existing content accurate, relevant and up to date
Supporting advertising and other communications when required
Assisting with content planning, search optimisation and website updates
About you
Essential
Strong professional writing and editing skills, with the ability to make complex information easy to understand
Good research skills and a careful approach to checking facts and sources
The ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and work collaboratively
A considerate communication style and an interest in writing for people facing difficult circumstances
Desirable
Experience writing legal or other research-based professional content
Legal studies, a legal qualification or experience in a law firm
Familiarity with legislation, case law and legal research
An understanding of SEO and writing for online audiences
Experience using a website content management system
Familiarity with Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT or similar tools, supported by careful human review
