About the role
About us
DALLCON is a family-owned precast concrete company based in Dalwallinu, proudly supplying the Civil, Mining, Agricultural, and Commercial sectors across Australia. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at our concrete and precast manufacturing facility.
As a Welder, you will play a key role in supporting our production team by carrying out high-quality welding and fabrication tasks. This hands-on position involves working with steel reinforcement and precast moulds, ensuring all welding work is completed safely, accurately, and to the required standards. You will take pride in your workmanship and contribute to delivering products that meet the highest levels of quality.
This is a full-time, site-based role in Dalwallinu, located 240 km north of Perth, operating on a Monday to Friday DIDO roster from Perth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Excellent attention to detail and precision in quality is essential in this role
2. Proficient in reading and understanding plans/drawings
3. Carry out measurements and calculations
4. Place and fix reinforcement materials
5. Ensure all tools and equipment are fit for purpose, maintained and used in an appropriate manner
6. Strict adherence to workplace health and safety policies and procedures
7. Safely use hand and power tools, cutting equipment
8. Fabricate precast moulds using sheet metal
9. Comply with all company quality, safety, health and environment procedures
10. Clean up and dispose of waste in accordance with company procedure
11. Other duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage
2. Individuals typically complete a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (MEM30305), followed by an apprenticeship under a qualified welder
3. Experience with hand and power tools.
4. White Card required; additional tickets or relevant certifications highly regarded.
5. Current WA Driver’s Licence (essential).
