Blackbutt Reserve Worker

Through your work, you’ll have a behind the scenes pass to Newcastle's evolution as you shape our future as a liveable, inclusive city.

City of Newcastle is seeking a passionate and self-motivated wildlife and conservationist to join the team on a part-time basis covering up to 18 hours per week.

In this exciting role you will assist in the organisation and delivery of daily activities at Blackbutt Reserve. This includes park maintenance and presentation, implementation of education programs, and caring for animals in accordance with City of Newcastle’s (CN) Code of Safety Practice, WHS Guidelines, and the NSW Exhibited Animals Protection Act.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering and representing Blackbutt Reserve's exceptional customer experience. You will communicate effectively with all customers and visitors, striving to enhance and showcase Blackbutt Reserve as a premier tourist destination.

Remuneration: $33,130.92 + 17.5% annual leave loading, yearly payment + 12% Superannuation per annum for a 19-hour week. (weekend remuneration not included annual remuneration).
